IMMIGRATION & PROTECTION TRIBUNAL

Your Advocate in Immigration & Protction Tribunal Proceedings

In the event your visa is declined it may be possible to make an appeal against this decision to the Immigration and Protection Tribunal (IPT).

The IPT hear a range of appeals that include:

  • Residence Visa appeals;

  • Refugee and protection status; &

  • Deportation.

In the full year to 2020, 44% of all appeals to the IPT were allowed. This is clearly a significant number and demonstrates all is not lost for many people upon receiving a decline.

Over the years our team have acted for many applicants that have come to us having received a decline decision from INZ. We have an extremely high success rate given the complex cases we handle, and can provide expert advice on whether or not an appeal should be brought.

Given the time limits that exist for lodging an appeal to the IPT we always advise it is extremely important to act quickly in these circumstances - the preparation of documentation, that may include providing further evidence can take time to assemble.

If you have received a decline and would like to discuss your options, contact us to understand what your options could be.
